1500 Trees Planted in Birmingham

On Wednesday 23rd March, a plantation drive took place with a joint effort from the volunteers of Dawat-e-Islami FGRF department & Birmingham Trees for life. Through this joint effort 1500 trees were planted.

The FGRF department is currently planting millions of trees throughout the world and till date over 3 million trees have been planted. This tree plantation is what our Religion of Islam has encouraged. The Prophet Muhammad ‎ﷺ‎‬ has said:
“The Muslim who plants a tree or cultivates a crop, for every bird and human that eats from it, it will be considered charity on his behalf.” (Muslim)

Councillor Waseem Zaffar (Cabinet Member for Transport and Environment at Birmingham city council) also attended the plantation drive. He praised the works of Dawat-e-Islami. He said “Dawat-e-islami is an internationally recognised organisation that does remarkable work all across the world. Today they are doing tree planting here in Birmingham which we Birmingham city council appreciate.”
