A meeting was held on Saturday 7th January for the members of the West Midlands County of Dawat-e-Islami. This meeting was led by the West Midlands Region Head at Faizan-e-Madina, Stechford, Birmingham. Several departments and works of Dawat-e-Islami were discussed.
12 religious works: Dawat-e-Islami has 12 religious works which are done daily, weekly or monthly. A discussion took place of how to further strengthen these in each Ward, Borough, and the county of West Midlands.
Laughing Gas project: A briefing was given on the ongoing awareness campaign by Dawat-e-Islami about the issue of Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas). During this campaign, awareness was given to thousands of people in the Midlands about the harms of using this gas. Upcoming workshops were discussed.
Education department: Recently, multiple youth events have taken place raising awareness about the core issues in our communities. Further updates were provided regarding upcoming events in universities and youth centres.
Recently the head of Dawat-e-Islami’s executive committee: Haji Imran Attari was in the UK. The region head thanked all the representatives for their hard efforts to make the gathering held at Majestic Hall in Aston on Friday 9th December. Further targets given by Haji Imran Attari were discussed and planned.
In 2022, Dawat-e-Islami has secured six new properties in the West Midlands. Further plans were discussed
Courses department: The course department of Dawat-e-Islami recently organised several events in the Midlands. Briefing was given on courses which are scheduled to take place across the West Midlands in the coming weeks.
Self-Development: The Region head motivated the participants on the importance of self-development. A mindset was given that everyone should enrol on to a course and to daily read some pages of a booklet to increase knowledge.
